Sometimes when we think about being an expert it conjures up all kinds of images of “responsible” people. Or pompous people.

The reality is, you are an EXPERT about everything you know!

Yes, maybe someone else does know more than you do about a certain topic, so what? YOUR clients want YOUR expertise and they want YOUR way of explaining it….

Now granted, if you are reading this you are someone of integrity and you are not a scammer. You are here because you truly care about people. AND so you probably even say to yourself sometimes, “Self, who do you think you are trying to (now fill in the blank for your chosen something)”. When we work with our clients, often we only need to be a few steps ahead of them. Not only does this make us more accessible to them, but they can have a greater sense of trust for us because the know we can still RELATE! Think about it. Do you remember having a teacher in school or college and you thought you wondered how long it had been since they were in the “real” world. Or, perhaps you are watching a guru out there and though you would LOVE to be in there space, they may be getting to the point that they seem unreachable, and unreachable can translate into NOT GETTING YOU ANYMORE. The reality is, some of the clients you have had in your biz start up probably won’t be the type you have today…you have grown and you are in a different place. So, now thinking about being an expert….doesn’t that make it easier to embrace about yourself!!

Here are a few action steps to get you thinking more: Define EXPERT: who is an expert? What kind of woman shows up in EXPERT mode? How are you an EXPERT? Would you hire YOU as the EXPERT? What do you need to improve on to become an EXPERT? Who do you need to become in order to feel confident being an expert?
